Copublishing Agreements
Any country or regional plant protection organization that wishes to translate the International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures, after adoption by the Commission on Phytosanitary Measures, into their local language, is encouraged to do so under a copublishing agreement with FAO. Translations may also be into the FAO official languages when this is for publications that were not foreseen by the IPPC Secretariat to be translated.

Translations of the IPPC standards under copublishing agreements are a means to reach out to as many stakeholders as possible, and the advantages of a such an agreement are numerous: recognition of the work by the Commission on Phytosanitary Measures, guidance and assistance from the IPPC Secretariat when possible, information on the adoption of new standards, and access to the Online Phytosanitary Glossary (ISPM 5). For the IPPC Secretariat, the advantages include consistency among languages through sharing of information and increased implementation of IPPC standards.
For the translation of ISPMs (available in PDF on the IPP), the IPPC Secretariat is available to forward MS Word versions of adopted standards upon request.
