Deadline on Thu, 08 Nov 2018, 23:00
The Intentional Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) Secretariat has recently launched a call for case studies - with relevant pictures - to be included in a Guide on Pest Free Areas and a related database. The Guide aims to provide general guidance to National Plant Protection Organizations (NPPOs) wanting to establish and maintain:
pest free areas (PFA);
pest free places of production (PFPP);
pest free production sites (PFPS) and
areas of low pest prevalence (ALLP).
It will clarify the principal requirements for the establishment, maintenance, declaration and recognition of PFAs, PFPPs, PFPSs and ALLPs.
The IPPC Pest Free Area guide and supplementary resources are being developed with the financial support of Agriculture Canada and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.
Who can contribute?
NPPOs, RPPOs and other international organizations wishing to share their experiences and knowledge with the IPPC community.
When is the deadline?
9 November 2018
