NRO and IPP training


Between 2005 and 2008, the IPPC Secretariat arranged regional workshops to explain national phytosanitary information exchange obligations, and to train official contact points and nominated information officers in using the IPPC website to meet these obligations.

At present, training and capacity development is being undertaken nationally, sub-regionally or regionally. Training events are often held in conjunction with other IPPC activities. This includes annual IPPC regional workshops where the IPPC Secretariat can assist the National Plant Protection Organizations (NPPOs) to build capacity and raise awareness on all NROs-related activities such as the submission of NROs reports or the maintenance of their country page on the IPPC website.
