Summary

Anoplophora chinensis has been under continued official surveillance in DK since 2007. The pest was found for the first time in June 2011. Three exit holes were reported and one adult beetle was captured. The two trees, the origin of which is well documented, were destroyed and an intense official survey has been carried out and the local citizens mobilized. The assumed two additional beetles have not been found, and no signs of oviposition nor foraging have been found. The Danish Plant Directorate in collaboration with researchers have concluded that the probability of establishment of A.chinensis from this finding is negligible. To confirm this, and as an additional safeguard, intense surveillance in an extended zone will be executed for the coming 5 years.
