The Beware & Note tool is an initiative of FPS Health, Food chain safety and Environment. FPS, HFCSE, Natagora and Natuurpunt with the support of ILVO and FASFC, have collaborated to ensure the permanence of this tool on the Observations.be platform.
This is a notification system for quarantine pests harmful to plants in Belgium whose aim is to enable their early detection. Therefore, this project contributes to the implementation of ISPM 6 (Information gathered through this surveillance is meant to be used to aid early detection of new pests).
This alert system allows a high level of surveillance of the territory, by providing the possibility to every citizen to enter reports of these quarantine pests through the Observations.be platform.
