Digital identification tool: Citrus Pests

USDA PPQ CPHST is pleased to announce the release of Citrus Pests developed through collaboration among CPHST s Identification Technology Program (ITP), University of Florida, and Southern Plant Diagnostic Network. Citrus Pests offers screening support for over 50 important insect pests of citrus. The digital tool is aimed primarily at extension agents, inspectors, and other plant professionals with access to a light microscope and hand lens. USDA-APHIS-PPQ, Science and Technology, Center for Plant Health Science and Technology, Identification Technology Program (ITP) is pleased to announce the release of its digital identification tool: Citrus Pests, and offers users a wide variety of components within the web site, including an interactive key, illustrated fact sheets, a comprehensive image gallery (see screen shot above), an insect morphology tutorial, and a detail glossary. With the release of Citrus Pests, ITP's Citrus Resource now offers one site to easily access three stand-along identification tools to support citrus commodity surveys: Citrus Pests, Citrus Diseases, and Citrus ID.
