Brief Biography
Giulia is responsible for all administrative and financial actions related to organizing meetings and human resources management for the Standard Setting Unit. She also supports the organization of IPPC meetings, such as the Committee on Phytosanitary Treatments and IPPC Regional Workshops. Before joining the IPPC Secretariat, Giulia worked with the secretariat of the Rotterdam Convention on Prior Informed Consent Procedure for Certain Hazardous Chemicals and Pesticides in International Trade at FAO. There, she handled administrative matters, supported the organization of the Chemical Review Committee, and worked on the publication of the biannual PIC Circular. Prior to this, she worked with the Committee on Agriculture, and with the Interpretation team in FAO’s Governing Bodies Servicing Division (CSG). Giulia has a Master of Arts in publishing from the Oxford Brookes University, and bachelor’s degree in political science and international relations from Roma Tre University. She is Italian and speaks English and Spanish.
