The Implementation Review and Support System (IRSS) has launched the second IPPC General Survey, which runs from 9 September to 11 November 2016.
The IPPC General Survey is designed to capture information on contracting parties overall implementation of the obligations and responsibilities as described in the Convention and the implementation of international standards for phytosanitary measures (ISPMs) and the Commission on Phytosanitary Measures (CPM) recommendations.
The second IPPC General Survey will provide information on the state of contracting parties implementation in comparison to the first IPPC General Survey conducted in 2012. The contributions you make to this survey allow the IPPC Secretariat to understand national and regional needs and assist us in planning our work to support and enhance implementation.
Contracting parties who show their commitment to the IPPC by completing this survey will be acknowledged at CPM 12 and have their implementation needs considered for prioritization in the IPPC work programme.
The 2016 IPPC General Survey was sent to all Official Contact Points and Regional Plant Protection Organizations (RPPOs) to complete either electronically in English or in Word format, in Arabic, English, French, Spanish or Russian.
