The report of the July 2017 meeting of the Technical Panel on Phytosanitary Treatments is posted!
The report of the meeting is available at the following link: https://www.ippc.int/en/publications/85139/
The Technical Panel for Phytosanitary Treatments (TPPT) met in Vienna, Austria (17 - 21 July 2017). Among other issues, the TPPT discussed in detail one draft ISPM on the Requirements for the use of modified atmosphere treatments as a phytosanitary measure, one phytosanitary treatment and evaluated seven treatment submissions against requirements in ISPM 28 (Phytosanitary treatments for regulated pests). The TPPT continued its ground-breaking work and reviewed recent studies carried out by the Joint FAO/IAEA Division and by the Research Center Yokohama, Japan, and concluded that there is no evidence to support that there are significant differences in vapour heat tolerance among populations of B. dorsalis from geographically separate regions.
